FAQ
FAQ about dance classes in Tampere
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Most groups are open to complete beginners. Just bring the desire to move.
Is there a trial class?
The semester starts on Saturday 16 January, Wednesday classes begin on 20 January. The first class in any group is free if you decide not to continue, and part of the course if you join. The new Mini group has an official free trial class on 16 January. If you would like to try a class in the middle of the semester, contact me and you get a free trial class.
How does a new group start?
This applies to the new Mini group: it opens when at least 5 children confirm after the trial. Please confirm by the end of Thursday after the trial, and I will announce the decision on Friday.
How big are the groups?
Small. Everyone gets personal attention, and the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in: leggings, a top, joggers. Socks or dance shoes, no outdoor shoes. No jeans, no jewellery, hair tied back.
How much does it cost?
Spring 2027 has 16 lessons per day of the week. One day a week 140€, two days 260€ (Mini Dance 120€). The price is higher than in autumn because this semester has more lessons.
Is registration for the whole semester?
Yes. When you confirm joining, you register for the whole semester. The fee is paid in two equal instalments of 50%.
How do I pay?
After you confirm joining you receive an invoice by email for the first instalment (50%). The second invoice (50%) comes in the middle of the semester.
Can I join a course late?
Yes. Write to me and we will agree on a special price.
What if our plans change during the semester?
Please tell me in advance and we will talk.
What if we miss a class or my child is sick?
Let me know in advance. We will figure something out together. If you miss many Saturday classes, K-Pop dancers can attend the Wednesday class by agreement with me.
Can my child switch between Beginners and Intensive?
Yes, during the semester. Just tell me.
Which dates are there classes?
Saturday classes: 16 January to 15 May, no classes on 27 March and 1 May. Wednesday classes: 20 January to 12 May, no class on 3 March (winter holiday). There are no classes during school holidays or public holidays. The full list of dates is on the group page.
Are the performances paid?
The winter performance is free. Entry to the spring performance is by ticket, and parents buy the tickets.
Can parents watch the class?
For ages 3 to 6, parents can stay nearby. For older groups, parents wait outside: children usually settle in much better that way.
Do you film in class?
Yes, we film content along the way. If your child should not be on video, you choose No in the registration form and I will keep them out of the shot.
Will there be classes during school holidays?
Classes follow the Finnish school calendar. We do not meet during school holidays or public holidays. I will remind you in advance.
How do I sign up?
Fill in the form on the group page. You will get a confirmation email with all the details.
